الحكومة البريطانية تمنح خالد سلمان حق الإقامة الدائمة

قررت الحكومة البريطانية منح رئيس تحرير صحيفة «الثوري» السابق الأستاذ خالد سلمان حق الإقامة الدائمة التي تؤهله الحصول على الجنسية في وقت لاحق والاندماج في المجتمع البريطاني كمواطن له كافة الحقوق والواجبات ، بعد أن تقدم بطلب اللجوء السياسي في 20 نوفمبر من العام الماضي عندما انشق عن وفد الرئيس علي عبد الله صالح أثناء زيارته للندن للمشاركة في مؤتمر الدول المانحة.

وعلق خالد سلمان الذي يقيم في مدينة نيوكاسل في اتصال هاتفي بـ" عدن برس " على حصوله الإقامة الدائمة قائلا : " حين تعجز الأوطان أن تمنح أبناءها مجرد سقف آمن ، فإن علينا بكل ما نملك من شجاعة أن نلعن أبو الحكومات ورئاساتها المفترئة المتعفنة " .

وأضاف سلمان " أما حين تمنح بريطانيا العظمى لفقير حاف مثلي واحدا من أسرع حق إقامة دائمة وحق مواطنة في تاريخها ، فإن علي أن أسجل أعظم مشاعر الامتنان كملاحق سابق ومقيم دائم أن أقول " شكرا جلالة الملكة إليزابيث ، وليحفظها الرب ".

The British government has decided to grant the former Chief Editor of Althawry newspaper, Khaled Salman, the right of permanent residence, which will qualify him for citizenship at a later time. This will allow him to integrate into British society as a citizen with all the rights and duties that entails. He submitted a request for political asylum in November last year, after disagreeing with the delegation of President Ali Abdullah Saleh during his visit to London to participate in a donor countries conference. In a telephone conversation with Aden Press, Khaled Salman, who lives in Newcastle, commented on obtaining permanent residence, saying: "When nations are unable to provide security for their children, we all have the courage to curse the governments and presidencies of those countries. Salman added: 'When Great Britain granted one of the fastest rights of permanent residence in its history to a poor refugee, I felt immense gratitude and wanted to thank Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and praise God.'
